The history of the Myricks United Methodist Church, located in Berkley, Massachusetts, is a topic not only of interest to the author, but of personal significance. Mrs. Terry's grandmother was a lifelong member of the church and "served as Church Historian for many years." It was through this relationship that she first became interested in the subject. Upon realization that there was no written history of the church, she began this work to present a source of information on the "church and community." In the process of compiling this information, she accessed a number of sources, including the church records and articles, newspaper articles, earlier books and a local historical society. The Myricks United Methodist Church was established in the middle of the 19th century, and therefore this book covers about 150 years of the church and its members.
